WE CAN DO THIS WHEN:  we can answer questions like 
9 + 5 + 4 - 13 = 5
9 + 4 = 13 so therefor we have 5 left. 

Teacher comments: Cheryl, I only had to show you how to do this strategy a couple of times and you are able to work on problems like these with confidence. Well done. 







Reading

WE ARE LEARNING TO:  read in our heads to help with comprehension.

WE CAN DO THIS WHEN:  we can answer questions about what we have read and summarise the text.

Teacher comments: Cheryl, I can see that you read to understand.  You are able to tell me what the story is about and answer some of my questions.








Writing

WALT write an imaginative story.
SUCCESS CRITERIA We have written an imaginative story which is not real. 


When the children were not at school the equipment  had a massive party! They drew a picture . They drew a picture of their family and they wrote a story about their family. They they played a lot of fun games like pass the parcel. it was so much fun! I wish I could go and join them but I could not because I had to go to the music holiday programme.

Te Reo

I am learning to write a description.

Here is my story:

It is autumn when the tall tree's leaves turn to another colour.  The leaf colours go yellow, red, then brown.

Writing Term 1 2017

WALT write a recount.
SUCCESS CRITERIA My Recount is about something that as already happened. 


I played my violin with the orchestra.  It was lots of fun. I had to really concentrate so that I followed the music and played the tune right. 

Maths Term 1 2017

WALT count from 50 - 100.
SUCCESS CRITERIA I can count 50,51,52,53 ....... all the way to 100.


Inquiry Term 1 2017

WALT know about sun safety.
SUCCESS CRITERIA I know what I need to do so that I am safe when i am outside in the sun.

"I know how to  be sun safe. Wear a hat so you can protect your ears and head/face, put lots of sunscreen on so your skin does not get burnt".
